Tallulah pushed the buggy forward through the twirling doors of the apartment building. Amyx was squealing and clapping in delight. Her newborn Ariana was in a sling around Tallulah's shoulder and several final bags were hanging off the buggy. She headed over towards the elevator and found to her annoyance the doors closing in front of her with a crowded lift. She stopped to wait and brought a hand to her daughter's head, a practice that she often found soothed her.

"Mama, are we home?" Amyx asked.

Kuro had been sent to do a job here in this apartment. He walked up to the woman with the two infants. "Excuse me...your apartment...is it number 425?" He asked her.
